Jayapura, Bupati Asmat, Elisa Kambu mengharapkan agar generasi muda dan jemaat gereja Kingmi Papua mendekatkan diri dan hidup sesuai ajaran Kristus sebagai umat Tuhan .
Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Kambu dalam sambutannya saat meresmikna gereja Kingmi Papua Jemaat Silo Hom Hom pada 22 Januari lalu.
Menurut Elisa, dengan gedung gereja yang mewah diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat dalam tumbuh dan kembangnya jemaat dengan hidup dekat Tuhan. Sehingga jmaat dan generasi muda perlu dididik dengan kebenaran firman agar terhindar dari pengaruh dari luar.
“Saya harap untuk kedepan generasi Kingmi Papua bertumbuh di dalam Tuhan. Agar untuk kedepan gereja ini bisa maju dan berkembang pesat,” harapnya.
Kata Kambu, gedung gereja hanyalah tempat ibadah, yang terpenting adalah tubuh manusai sebab tubuh manusia merupakan rumah Tuhan, sehingga ia berpesan untuk menjaga tubuhnya masing-masing.
Sementara itu, Koordinator Kingmi Papua Koordinator Yahukimo Geradus Heluka berpesan agar Generasi Kingmi Papua hargai dan teruskan pelayanan yang dilakukan oleh para pioneer.
“Sebelumya para pioner menerima injil dengan tantangan sehingga kini berbuah kebenaran dan misi Kristus, oleh karenanya para orang tua kami pelaku Injil sebagian telah di panggil Tuhan dan Pdt. Simon dengan beberapa orang masih bersama kami ,” ujarnya.
Heluka berharap agar jemaat Silo Hom-Hom yang masih berada dalam ikatan-ikatan roh jahat agar kembali berbalik kepada Tuhan.
Peresmian gedung gereja berjalan dengan aman dan terkendali, dan diakhiri dengan makan bersama
